Working with humans requires constant innovation, creativity and continued learning. Here are some of the topics I am sharing with clients now!
If you feel overwhelmed or in a constant state of toxic stress as a result of your role as a parent, I am now offering a family therapy “suite” to help families get back on track.
What is a “suite?”
A “suite” refers to a collection or group of related services offered. These services are designed to complement each other or fulfill a common need or purpose. In this case your session fee includes, 1 adult (single or couple) session per week, 1 session for your child (FREE) and access to 24-hour texting support (FREE) from your therapist designed to offer encouragement and coaching when you need it, so you dont have to wait until your next session for coaching and insight.
A new service for Santa Cruz Parents that will help you make sense of your teen/child's experiences.
When parents attend therapy, the whole family system improves. Putting your mental health first means that I will provide your children with FREE therapy sessions.
Raising children is more difficult when mainstream culture does not support the needs of the parent/child relationship.
You maybe wondering how things got so out of control and how you can be helpful to your children while keeping your own peace of mind.
When the going gets tough, it‘s easy for many parents to lose sight of their identity, values, and goals. You may feel like you have lost yourself to giving to your children, resulting in fatigue and resentment. This is expected if you aren’t able to rely on the support of a culture or a strong mentor who can help build you back up when you are feeling defeated.
Included in your per-session fee (Click the link below) are sessions for your child that allow them to have a space to process their experiences at no extra charge.
Q: What is unique about Anahata’s approach?
A: Social Psychology and understanding the effect of cultural influence is at the core of Anahata‘s work. Anahata has worked with clients in crisis for the entirety of her career and is incredibly skilled at strategic interventions and paradoxical work. Her experience working with populations with unique life-controlling challenges has sharpened her ability to create access to peace of mind no matter the circumstances. She crafts perspectives that you can use as a guide to discover more about the meaning of your experiences and learn to find meaning in any suffering.
Q: How long will it take before I start to feel better?
A: The process of healing and learning is different for everyone, but generally speaking people start to feel better within 2-3 months.
Q: Will my child be alright?
A: Finding meaning in the experiences that cause pain is a unique and non-linear journey. The same is true for your child. The foundation of Anahata's interventions is grounded in the belief that everyone can learn something from everything. The challenge is engaging in the process and attaining the support needed to rise above the temptation to give up. Your attitude as a parent profoundly impacts your child's beliefs as they learn how to navigate their suffering. With a bit of encouragement, any setback can be a gift.
Q: What if I can’t afford the per session fee?
A: You are welcome to join another family (preferably you are the matchmaker) to split the fee with and attend the adult sessions as a group.
Q: If I join another parent for the adult sessions how does that affect the children being seen?
A: Anahata is open to being flexible with scheduling child sessions according to the needs of the group on a case by case basis.
Included in your per session fee of $400.00 are the following services
